Madrid 's International
Airport (Aeropuerto de Barajas)
is located 13 km north east of Madrid
. Flights from the most important
European and world cities arrive
on a daily basis. Those who arrive
in Madrid by plane can easily get
to the centre of the city by metro
or bus. By metro, just take the
line number 8 until the Mar de Cristal
station, and continue with the line
number 4 to the centre of the city.
By Bus: just take the bus number
89 until the Plaza the Colon , where
connection to all directions is
possible.

By Train
There are two main train
stations in Madrid , both easily accessed
from one another by metro: The Chamartin
Train Station is where most trains from
France , Bilbao , Barcelona , Seville ,
Saragossa and regional trains arrive and
depart from. The other station is the Atocha
where trains from and to Andalusia , Extremadura,
and Portogallo are serviced. The Spanish
high speed train (AVE) that connects Madrid
and Seville in only two and a half hours
leaves from the Atocha train station. The
entire Spanish Rail network is maintained
by the RENFE.
By Car
Madrid is the place where
a series of highways from all directions
meet. Therefore, those who plan to arrive
by car will not have any difficulties getting
to Madrid . If you are coming from the Pays
Vasco, you need to take the A1. From Andalusia
, take the A4. From France , take the N
II . Finally, from Portugal , take the N
